Carrie has over 12 years of experience in veterinary practice, starting as a veterinary care assistant and progressing to a registered veterinary nurse, qualifying in 2016. Currently, she serves as the dual-site Head Nurse at a busy first opinion practice and a dedicated cat clinic in Bristol.

Carrie holds a Graduate Diploma in Professional and Clinical Veterinary Nursing from the Royal Veterinary College and a Post Graduate Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Nursing (Pain Management) from Harper Adams University. She is also in the final year of her Master's Degree in Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia at Edinburgh University. With a passion for all areas of nursing, Carrie's main interests are in anaesthesia and analgesia.

Carrie is also a member of the IVCE nurse board, and for the past year has chaired the board, bringing the monthly webinars and resources to all nurses within IVC. Throughout her career, she has contributed to veterinary journals and enjoys teaching and speaking at events for Vets, SVN’s, and RVNs, focusing on anaesthesia, analgesia, and patient safety.

In her spare time, she is kept busy with her toddler, cat Dembe and horse Billy! (April 2025)
