- Mondays – Sunday alternate weeks (working 8.00 p.m. - 8.00 a.m)
- A week off after 7 continuous night shifts

Job description
We are looking for a Night Veterinary Care Assistant to join the team at our Bradley Stoke Hospital to join our friendly and motivated team in the Emergency Veterinary Service.
The ideal candidate will be a team player, with the ability to work under their own initiative to maintain a high standard of cleanliness as well as having a love of animals.
You will be expected to be involved in all aspects of patient care, from assisting the nurses with hospitalised day patients, theatre duties, laboratory work, reception work, unpacking orders including stock rotation and upkeeping a high standard of cleanliness throughout the whole practice.
Responsibilities
- Cleaning cages
- Laundering bedding
- Feeding and walking dogs
- unpacking orders
- checking expiration dates
- cleaning of the building including laundry
- assisting the nurses handling patients
- assisting reception when needed.
Skills required
Good communication, team player, IT literate, and call handling skills. Experience of working with and/or handling animals an advantage.
A full, clean driving licence is essential as the successful candidate will need to be able to drive the company van between our practices and to clients when required.
Experience:
- Animal care: 2 years (preferred)
- Cleaning: 2 years (preferred)
