Originally from Bulgaria I moved to England in 2002. Since I was a teenager, I wanted to be a vet. I applied for vet school in Bulgaria, but things didn’t go to plan. When I came here, I did all sorts of jobs, but my favourites were being a chef/ baker and a carer for the elderly. I have a 9 year old son. 5 years ago he was about to start school. I got talking to a friend over coffee about our mutual love of animals and her volunteering at an animal rescue centre. She told me one of the girls there has just qualified as a vet nurse. This was the first time I looked into what vet nurses do and how to become one. I knew then that that was what I wanted to be, I wanted to care for animals!

I found a job as a care assistant in a small independent practice and I got a place on a course at Abbeydale college in Wales. I started at Rowe veterinary hospital in Bradley Stoke, half way through my studies in 2017, survived lockdown and finally qualified in August 2020.

I love what I do, and I am very proud to call myself a Registered Veterinary Nurse.

During Lockdown last year I developed a passion for Emergency Veterinary care and started as a twilight nurse in December 2020.

In my spare time, I love going for treks, cooking, spending time with my family, listening to music and reading.
