This month we thought we'd introduce you to the newest Rowe team members at our Filton branch and their pets!
Tracy is our Receptionist here at Filton, and manages the day to day running of the practice with precision. Tracy has quite the menagerie at home, this includes Anderson the Cat, Diesel the Jack Russell, Spike the Bearded Dragon, Malcolm the Snake, and a school of tropical fish. When she can, Tracy likes to pop out the back and watch the vets and nurses perform procedures and surgery. She is an expert animal cuddler, and we guarantee your pet will get lots of TLC from Tracy, if they need to stay in with us. Outside of work, Tracy likes to take Diesel for lots of walks; their family holidays are designed to ensure Diesel has the best of times.
Julie is our full-time Vet here at Filton. Julie qualified from the University of Bristol in 2014 with distinction, having won The Frederick Blakemore Prize for the student with the highest marks across the whole degree course. She has since worked in a small animal practice based in the North Cotswolds, before moving to Bristol and joining Rowe Veterinary Group in February 2017; she has always wanted to work for Rowe, since being a student. She lives with her two chatty guinea pigs, Arthur and Elsie, and two mischievous rescue cats, mum and son, Maggie and Mittens. They are an adventurous pair, who spend a lot of their time playing with balls of paper, rather than the nice toys Julie has bought them! Outside of work Julie likes exploring the countryside, bell ringing, rock climbing and cycling.
Rosie is our part time vet at Filton, working Tuesdays and Fridays. She qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in London in 2011. She has since worked in Plymouth and Oxford, before settling in Bristol in 2014 and moving to Rowe Veterinary Group in 2016. She has also spent some time volunteering in charity clinics in India and Sri Lanka. Rosie enjoys all aspects of small animal general practice, but is particularly interested in surgery. She lives with her husband and her very lively labradoodle ‘Crumble’. Outside of work, she enjoys long walks with Crumble, baking cakes, sailing and skiing.
Between them, our team love to have a giggle, sing along with the radio, share the baking they have attempted, and look forward to welcoming you at Rowe Vets, Filton. Here are some snapshots of their pets. If you have any fun pictures of your pets enjoying this sunshine, please share them on our Facebook page with us! You will probably see Crumble at some point if you pop into Filton. She is frequently chilling out with Tracy in reception and enjoys all food, squeaky toys and games of tug. It’s a hard life!
