Registered Veterinary Nurse required at our large purpose built hospital in Bradley Stoke. This positon would suit an experienced VN wishing to develop their skills further and we would also consider a confident newly qualified VN. We have a supportive, friendly team of nurses, care assistants, vets and receptionists. Cases are interesting and varied with orthopaedic, soft tissue, neurology, cardiology and dermatology referrals as well as MRI and imaging and so no two days are the same! We also have referral and exotic specialists at our other branches. We have digital xray, ultrasound, endoscopy etc.
As well as referrals we are also a 1st opinion practice and so we still do all the routine things such as neuterings, nurse clinics,pre and post op checks, lab work etc. CPD encouraged and funded to help develop the knowledge and skills of our team
The rota is 40 hours per week with 1:4 weekends (days only) with days off the monday and friday after you have worked the weekend. We have dedicated night vets, nurses and care assistants that stay on site so night work would be on a backup rota only in case of sickness or holiday of the permanent night staff and is divided out amongst all the nursing staff.
Experienced RVN required at our Ophthalmology Referral Practice and busy first opinion surgery in Thornbury.
Ophthalmology work includes a wide range of anaesthetic techniques including neuro- muscular blockade, inpatient nursing and plenty of client contact. An interest in eye work would be helpful, but no previous experience is required, as full training will be given. We have a helpful, friendly team of nurses, care assistants, vets and receptionists.
